• KORK proposes to start from the simple and usual cork and realise a family of objects based on the connection between different elements.
  Every combination has its own identity as well on a visual level as on a functionnal level. Every piece is composed of a metal hooping in which two elements enter and combine. The use of cork as a material guarantees an assembly without using any paste or screw. The metal hooping compresses the two elements and creates a mechanical solidity.
  
  So in its use the concept proposes a multitude of possible assemblages based on some basic cork pieces, transforming the object along with every new combination.

Hive Wall Flats

Wall Flats™ from Inhabit® are lightweight dimensional wall tiles that work together through an automatic pattern repeat to create large-scale dimensional walls of any size and shape. Iris Floor Light

One of the founding designs of the MacMaster range, the Iris Floor Lamp consists of curved laminations of timber that echo the shape of Iris leaves to create a sculptural, unique and impacting form. The arrangement of leaves give the lamp a structured yet organic form that allows light to graduate upwards on the interior of the lamp. An energy saving light light bulb is utilised for a warm ambient light that casts subtle shadows onto adjacent walls, thereby extending the visual depth of the design.

Folditure Leaf Chair by Alexander Gendell

The Folditure Leaf Chair may look like a Rorschach inkblot, especially when placed against a black backdrop. The seat has an intricate mirrored aesthetic that will inspire people to see beyond the concrete design and imagine what else its shape could represent. While the Folditure Leaf Chair was not created to encourage such a psychological analysis, it was certainly created to encourage creativity in the home.
Designed by architect Alexander Gendell, the Folditure Leaf Chair is not only gorgeous to look at, it is also extremely practical. It folds up neatly to conveniently free up space. A great alternative to traditional folding chairs, it is comprised of a durable aluminum composite panel frame and stainless steel hinges and rivets with a fabric seat.

The architecture and design firm MWLRO has come up with a way to fix this problem with their line of Bushakan eyewear stands.

Individually made from solid pieces of hardwood, the stands have sections carved out to house all of your eyewear in a safe spot. Smart and practical, all wrapped up in a modern tower of eyewear delight.

Iconic Rubbish Bin   Designer: GOODSSPASSION

I love the idea behind the GO Recycle bin. Most countries follow a color-coded system for sorting the trash. However sometimes you can get confused, despite pictures and explanations on the bin. So what better way than explicitly fashioning the bin lid to let you know what goes where. As the designers put it, “intending to revolutionize the recycling industry and make it consumer-friendly, the idea of the GO bin is make recycling fun and convenience.”
